Breakfast service time 8:00 a.m.

Cooks 6:00 a.m.      Servers 7:30 a.m.

 

Lunch service time 12:30 p.m.

Cooks 10:00 a.m.    Servers Noon

 

Dinner service time 5:30 p.m.

Cooks 3:00 p.m.      Servers 5:00 p.m.

 

Saturday:

 

Breakfast service time 8:00 a.m.

Cooks 6:00 a.m.      Servers 7:30 a.m.

 

Lunch service time 12:30 p.m.

Dinner service time 5:30 p.m.

Cooks 3:00 p.m.      Servers 5:00 p.m. (Sat dinner servers wear white dress shirt / black pants)

EXPECTATIONS OF AN EMMAUS KITCHEN SERVANT

 

 

·        Cooks prepare food and wash all cooking pans and utensils.

 

·        Servers set up dining room, place agape, serve beverages, clean dining room and clean dishes and put them away.

 

·        Check the task clipboard or day coordinator for detailed instructions and things that need to be done.

 

·        The dining room area is for prayer partners only, unless you have been invited by the speaker, and please keep noise level down and presence in this area at a minimum during talks.

 

·        Please remain in the kitchen while the team and pilgrims are having entertainment in the dining area.

 

·        Please remember to wear your Emmaus name badge when coming to serve, but not your cross as the pilgrims do not receive this gift until Sunday.

 

·        Be friendly and courteous to all, avoid alienating other pilgrims by focusing your attention on one or two pilgrims.  Please treat all equally and keep socializing at a minimum.

 

·        We have volunteers coming to pick up recyclable items: cardboard, cans, and plastics.  Please check with your day coordinator for more information

 

·        If you find that you will not be able to serve during your time, please find someone to serve in your place, and notify kitchen director (Tracey Hostetler)

 

·        Clean up after each meal usually lasts about 1 hour after the meal is complete, please plan on staying until you have been released by the day coordinator.

 

·        Smile, be the hands and feet of Christ to your fellow brothers and sisters and show them  agape love.
