ARE YOU LETTING YOUR “LIGHT SHINE”?
Have you bought your new candle yet? As many of you know already, the GSAE has purchased a new style of light for Candlelight. By having the community buy their own lights and batteries, as needed, we will save hundreds of dollars a year. Your $4.00 investment will help us continue to give back to the community that has already given so much to us. Please bring them to all candlelight's, but if you happen to forget yours at home, we’ll have one to borrow for that evening. The only think we ask is that you remember to return it at the end of the candlelight service.
A reminder to all, not to bring another type of light, because we would like to show the pilgrims a unified “Body of Christ”!
Candles will be available for purchase before each Gathering in the Gathering Place, and will also be available prior to Saturday Candlelight services.
Candles would make a great gift of Agape for your pilgrim, not only is it a reminder of the Candlelight service, but an encouragement to ‘let their light shine”!
CHILD CARE
We will be
passing around a revised Child Care Sheet at the April Gathering. We need two
volunteers at each Gathering to watch children, so that their parents can attend
Gatherings. Please, prayerfully consider signing up.
God’s children thank you for serving Him, through them!
Carol Foster
Child Care Chairman.

Vision of Heaven
Imagine with me for one moment, that we stood at the gates you and I,
And our hearts started beating within us, as those gates suddenly swung open wide.
Can you feel the excitement around us; do you see all the things I see?
All the saints on their feet and they’re cheering, with a welcome for you and me.
See the tables; they’re set for a banquet, with the finest of linen and gold.
In the air there’s a sense of rejoicing, and this feeling will never grow old.
Is that Paul who is coming to greet us! Saying “Beloved you’ve finished the race,
You have fought a good fight and been faithful, now rest in His love and grace.”
Have you noticed the beautiful music, and the angels all gathered around?
Have you noticed that all of these faces, there isn’t a tear to be found?
Do you feel what I feel at this moment? All of my fears have begun to subside,
And there’s nothing that can be compared, to the peace that I’m feeling inside.
Wherever I look there is beauty, and all the saints know my name,
Now because all my sins are forgiven, I can face them without any shame.
And then suddenly...a hush falls upon them, and they slowly start moving aside,
Do you see what I see in the distance? It’s moving toward us, a beautiful light!
I watch as the light moves closer, now my joy I can hardly contain,
It’s Jesus! He’s is walking right to me, and He is calling to me by my name!
As His eyes look directly at me, with His arms He is motioning “come”,
But I fall to my knees and I tremble, for my body is suddenly numb.
So He smiles and then gently lifts me, and He holds me up close to His heart,
Now my mind looks for something to tell Him, but I don’t know where to start.
He says “I’ve waited so long for this moment, now my child you are finally here.”
So I struggle to say “Jesus thank you, it’s only because of you that I’m here.”
He says, “Daughter, I knew you would make it, that is why I’ve prepared you a place.”
There are no words to express what I’m feeling, as I look in His wonderful face.
Yet I can sum it all up in a moment, with one word, we both know as GRACE.

EMMAUS CELEBRATION AND WORKSHOP
Have you ever had the urge to try clowing, or leading music, or would you like some tips on giving a talk? Maybe you would like to learn more about being a good sponsor? These workshops and several more will be offered on Saturday, September 19, 2006 as we continue to reach out and grow as the Body of Christ.
The brand new, Lockington United Methodist Church, has offered to host us and we are so thankful for their generosity!
As we are in the “planning stages”, we don’t has ALL the details worked out yet, but we hope to be able to share them soon.
One thing is for sure, we’ll worship together, pray, fellowship, and who knows, maybe even learn a thing or two…...oh yes, we will also eat!
So please mark your calendars and plan to join in the fun!

FEELING OF LOVE
Just want to convey my thanks to the whole Emmaus Community, for all the thoughts, prayers, cards, visits, and flowers during the past few weeks. Words can’t express the love we felt during the passing of Dad. It is so good to know that when times are tough, we have each other to lean on. My family could feel God’s love through tour warm and caring words. I hope to see you all soon, but please understand, I’ll need to be “taking care of business” for awhile and may not be around much these next couple walks. Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t be there is spirit.
Keep looking up, and God Bless!
Lovingly,
Jerry Noble
